A sweet welcome!

In spring 2022, I realised my long-cherished childhood dream and opened “PinzgauSweets” in the centre of Kaprun, in the beautiful Pinzgau region of Salzburg. My recipe for success lies in the exclusive use of regional, natural ingredients and the renunciation of artificial ingredients and baking mixtures – and you can taste it!

With great passion and traditionally learned confectionery art, I make cake dreams come true and sweeten every occasion with my special creations.

That’s me, get to know me.

About me

May I introduce myself?

My name is Ulrike Tiefenbacher. During my training as a chef, I dealt intensively with the area of confectionery and patisserie, gained extensive experience in the upscale hotel industry and successfully completed the master confectioner’s examination as well as the entrepreneurial examination and apprentice trainer in 2015 in Munich.

After my exams, I went to Tokyo for an internship abroad. After graduation, I returned home and decided to work where others go on holiday. As a true Kapruner, I was drawn to the Kitzsteinhorn, where my own creation of the Gletschersachertorte earned me the title of “Glacier Confectioner”.
In 2018, I was given the special opportunity by the “Klub der Köche Kärnten” to compete at the World Chefs’ Championship in Luxembourg.

Another highlight of my career was winning the silver medal at the Culinary Olympics in Stuttgart, which takes place every 4 years, in February 2020. In May 2022, I took the big step into self-employment with my own bakery, which completed the fulfilment of my childhood dream.
